4D 2003 & Windows 7

Ronnie Teo
Hi All,

I have a client who is still on 4D 2003 and are intending to move some
clients to Windows7.  Has anyone encountered any show-stopping issues with
4D 2003 Client on Windows 7?

Regards,
Ronnie Teo

No. We do this for our VM apps and it's fine.

The only problem is that buttons with attached drop-down menus have the drop
down arrow drawn too narrow, which makes it hard to select, but that's a
cosmetic issue rather than functional.

You may have to check UAC on the computer (we always turn it off anyway; it
seems to me to be one of the most pointless security systems ever invented,
but maybe I haven't understood it). Also, try not to install your .4DD file
in the Program Files directory.

Sorry, I misspoke. 4D 2003 draws its own menus and IIRC they come out
looking fine. It's 4D 2004 that has the too-narrow drop down arrow issue.
