Max size of ASCII file

Steve Campbell
Hi all,

I'm trying to open a 60MB ASCII  .CSV file using the 4D Command "Open
Document" (so I can manipulate stock market minute bar data)

Although I can open the file using Text Edit and Word, all I get from
4D V11.6 running on an Intel Mac OS 10.6.4 with 1Gig of memory is a
spinning beach ball.

Is there a limitation to 4D V11.6 that prohibits a file of this size
from being opened?

Thanks for your help.

Steve Campbell

Fwd: Max size of ASCII file solved

Steve Campbell
Sorry for the inquiry.  I opened this file to remove some artifacts
in the header area and when it saved, it changed the delimiter from
Char (10) to Char (13).

All's well now.

Thanks, Steve
